... I just got up from a nightmare, which ended like an homage to Spike Lee's "School Daze", with the google glasses director screaming "WAKE UP!, WAKE UP!" at the top of his oversized lungs at me.
No, I'm not Rip Van Winkle, but like that mythical fellow New Yorker I have missed a whole lot since I last blogged on Katrina. I've been in a coma induced by finishing the memoir of Harlem's congressman, Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.), while teaching another year of journalism at Emerson College.
The book, "...And I Haven't Had A Bad Day Since" (Scribners) will be in the stores in late September.
The school term, and my long sojourn teaching college in Boston will be over next week. I don't know what my next job will be, but as the MLK cliche goes, I'm about to be "Free at last.....Great God Almighty, free at last!"
